My own mindfulness journey started long before I became a therapist and I can confidently say, I wouldn't be here today without it. I went to school at the University of Utah for both a Bachelor's in Psychology and a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I'm also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a research based trauma treatment commonly used for PTSD. I have worked in every level of care (residential/inpatient to individual outpatient) in my 10+ years as a therapist. I have mainly focused on addiction recovery and because that is typically accompanied by trauma, anxiety, depression, interpersonal issues, mood disorders/disruption unhealthy family dynamics, and communication deficits, I am equipped to help you with any of these problems without the addiction component. I'm happy to consult if your loved one is struggling with addiction and may not be ready to quit. I can assist in clarifying goals and needs for family and help identify boundaries to create safety and security as you navigate their struggle.
